Confused News Network: Discovers time travel before study guides

It seems the famed press agency has experienced a time crisis of its own, with certain delegates living in the future?
The recent article on the Chinese National People's Congress (CNPC) called out the North King of Taiping, Wei Changhui for speaking in a Singaporean accent in a Chinese committee, an effort the delegate made to bring his character to life.
It would’ve made a great press release if not for one small problem: CNPC's freeze date happens to lie on March 1st, 1860. Singapore itself was founded in 1965. It's honestly hilarious that an accent was invented before the country itself.
Who needs research when you've got imagination?
An agency that should be thorough, respected and historically grounded, made a blatant RACIST assumption by lumping all Asian accents into one. Rather than covering actual committee content, CNN chose to fabricate accents, ignore timelines, and somehow miss ALL of CNPC's grounding.
If CNN is out here casually rewriting history, then the only thing more fictional than that accent is their credibility.
For the sake of every delegate in this conference, we hope CNN performs fact-checks more often than factual inaccuracies. Or better yet..just sit the next committee out.
