All is fair in Love and Economic Collapse

The delegate of Singapore has proven that the ECOSOC committee is not just a platform for global economic discourse, but also an excellent stage for chasing love. Who cares about the economic state of the world when your happily ever after lies right in front of you? Clearly, one of the six principal organs of the United Nations, ECOSOC’s delegates could not be more bothered about the agenda that lies with them. As the rest of the committee debated issues that might decide the fate of billions, we were privileged to third-wheel what seems to be the beginning of a romance more compelling than any draft resolution. The delegate of Singapore was caught on camera, scribbling down pickup lines from her laptop, which we may mistake as a resource for research, but happens to serve as cupid. We sincerely apologize for interrupting what may be ECOSOC’s most critical bilateral development, true love. Perhaps the global economy can wait. I suppose we could ask economic depression to possibly take a raincheck, and allow this love story to unfold. Who needs economic stability when you have chemistry?

Stay tuned for more such heartwarming stories of Romeo and Juliet, it is afterall just day one.
