MUN or Open night

Todays MUN session was less diplomacy and more of an open mic disaster. Delegates stumbled through speeches like deer in headlights, armed with the mic of “uhhh”, awkward pauses, and lines that make zero sense. The delegate William, leaned so hard on ChatGPT for speeches that it felt like watching a badly written AI generated humor. Confidence? None. Flow? Nonexistent. Half the delegates did not even know how to end a speech with a simple. “I yield it back to the chair”. Apparently, rules are too formal for this chaos club.
Points of information (POI’s) were treated like forbidden objects. No one asked, no one answered, and the few questions thrown out were dodged. It was not debate, it was pure survival, and when delegates were not fumbling through speeches, they were cross talking interrupting or looking painfully lost.
Then came Harry’s jaw dropping suggestion, cutting funding from imports and exports to fund infrastructure. Genius, if you define genius as economic self-destruction. Meanwhile, enthusiasm was dead on arrival. Opening speeches were delivered like grocery lists, and the preparation levels were so low it felt like the entire committee walked in five minutes before session with nothing but blind panic.
This was not a MUN session, it was a group therapy session for stage fright and confusion. If this level of performance continuous, the future of this committee is in grave danger.
