Another day, another delegate messing up in their press conference, welcome back to UNODC: The most delusional delegates known to man. Why has this name been given to these amazing delegates? Well, let's dive into UNODC’s first ever press conference.

The delegate of Libya was asked why she never once looked from her iPad while asking other delegates questions or speaking in GSLs and if this shows her lack of preparation for the committee. Upon being asked this question, the delegate stood upon being called and said, “I like to organize notes on my iPad and I usually like to refer to it. Also this is my first MUN so I don't think this shows my lack of preparation." At first glance, it seems to be a perfectly coherent answer, however multiple delegates are attending MUN for the first time, and yet no such excuses have been brought up by the rest.

In addition, the questions she asked were framed in a VERY complicated way, almost seeming AI generated. Strange isn't it? When asked the sources from which she got her information from, the delegate said, "I got it off the internet and my mind.” Queue the unnecessary table tapping. The entire committee erupted with table tapping, as if they thought she ‘slayed’ that one. But did she really?

Another delegate who has added themselves to the ‘hall of fame,’ is the delegate of UK. Now this delegate wasn't asked anything, but she kept on table tapping whenever the press was disrespected, as if she found her new passion of playing the tabla. One of the amusing moments which left the press delegates sputtering with laughter was when one press delegate made a valid statement and half of the committee including the delegate of UK started table tapping for the press. It was as if they had thrown something called, ‘presence of mind.’ out the window. These delegates booed the press as if they had actually made valid points throughout the press conference.

Nothing can be said about the committee though, other than there's nothing more to expect than an utter lack of common sense.
