The Chinese National People's Congress is regarded as the highest organ of state power representing the People’s Republic of China. Yet, decorum appears to be entirely absent in this committee. Delegates have been repeatedly ejected, and the chairs are constantly forced to reprimand the room for excessive cross-talk. This committee stands out as the most laid-back in the entire MUN, despite having one of the most critical agendas. It addresses one of the deadliest ongoing conflicts, yet grave matters are often treated with surprising nonchalance.

Emperor Xianfeng has shown his inability to follow simple rules and procedures in his very first speech to the committee using inappropriate language. The entire committee was lazy, almost to the point of insanity, with Empress Dowager Cixi refusing to answer questions in the form of notes with the reasoning “im too lazy to write” and Yang Xiuqing saying “it’s like too long for me to remember” just shows how incompetent and lazy this entire committee is.

The fact that General Li Minguri, Yang Xiuping and Xiao Chaogui had to be kicked out from the committee and room, interrupting every 15 seconds during a formal session, asking to come back in and still continued cross-talk throughout the session is simply indicative of their character, and speaks volumes about their attitudes towards the agendas of their committee. General Li Minguri escalated the situation even further, and was kicked out of the committee for a second time, for yet another 5 minutes, proving their casual attitudes towards their agenda.

Cumulatively, this entire committee has lacked the ability to use proper and simple ROPs such as yielding their time back to the chairs. What sort of tomfoolery is “Sit down”?. How do we expect these delegates to solve important conflicts when they can’t even follow proper procedure? Half of the POI’s asked by delegates were clustered with factual inaccuracies, especially those from Wei Changhui. After their opening speeches and a singular GSL they were barely able to raise a single motion. The incompetence of this committee only further exemplifies the notion that these delegates are completely unqualified to be in a committee.
