Hopelessly Panicked Officials Arguing or HPoA

The first committee session in HPoA started off with a B…oring GSL. Barely any delegate decided to participate in the GSL, which is definitely an important part of the session to be able to make your stance clear on the issue. But what would these delegates know about stating issues before solutions in a GSL! Is this really how unprepared everyone is?
Even after being threatened repeatedly to not get any food and miss the dinner and dance, no one was ready to speak! The session turned immediately chaotic after the delegate, Charles Hardy, proposed one of the most absurd things ever: sell gold for wheat. This created a huge disruption in the committee and the delegate didn't even know their country ABCs properly. Stating the USA instead of the UK in their speech showing they think they aren't TWO DIFFERENT NATIONS is the same as arguing that tea and coffee are the same—just because they are both hot beverages doesn't mean that they taste, feel, or function the same. Upon being asked POIs for these questions, the committee was just met with MORE QUESTIONS?? What is this delegate doing? Sir Stanley Bruce “Couldn't hear anything and [was] like deaf” once their name was called to speak in the GSL at least 4 times. Was the delegate just nervous or is this a sign of ignorance?
The delegate, John Albert Beasely, was seen on whatsapp and instagram even after being a MAJOR stakeholder in the committee, but of course not offering any opinions. The delegate John Greig Latham, however, was able to get a table tapping and made some good points which was able to bring up the issues the committee needs to deal with, and the POIs asked were answered so well that it almost seems like there is some hope for this committee. James Allan Guy, another great delegate, was able to bring out their stance and made its support very clear towards the issue to be able to help through the department of trades and customs. Sir George Pearce was another delegate who was asked a POI and answered it quite well. These kinds of delegates might be the only chance this committee has of even THINKING of passing their agenda. Lets wish them all the best, they REALLY need it.
