Highest In the Room (LDP)

After carefully observing the committee for the 1 st day , one thing is clear. The visions of a stable and safe Japan are being expressed by all delegates, however the definition of safe is being ridiculously misinterpreted by the delegates of CRA. In all their speeches, future Japan was being exhibited as a dystopian utopia, but alas the truth is far from this. The delegates predominantly insist that Japan should not tamper with the “sacred article 9” as mentioned by Walter Uzumaki(fellow member of CRA) and believe it is untouchable no matter what. Even if North Korea were to come guns blazing

and tear up Tokyo , the article 9 should never be violated. However some CRA members are intelligent and have suggested to reinterpret the article 9 and maybe make some changes.

The LDP on the other hand has a predominantly large majority embodying the same ideas. As the ministers of defence ,economics , communications and home affairs mentioned in their speeches, they are legitimately trying to implement policies that may help our motherland be untouched in these difficult times. All these delegates have already laid out precise plans as to what should be done to in upcoming days. As Akazawa Ryosei mentioned aptly in her speech, “Japan should achieve both safety and stability without having to compromise on the other.”

The opening speeches showcased the preparedness of LDP and clearly show DPP who they should side with. The opening statements have concluded, and the line in the sand has been drawn. The Diet does not need dystopian theories; it needs defensive capabilities. The Yomiuri Shimbun strongly urges the centrist delegates to act with foresight: reject the hollow rhetoric of absolute pacifism, side with the LDP's reality-based framework, and vote for a self-reliant, secure Japan.
