UNSC In Absolute Disarray

The United Nations Security Council floor dissolved into a tense, chaotic exchange

today as delegates traded accusations and technical disputes over a missile strike in

Pakistan. What began as a forensic debate over the origin of the arms quickly

became a test of diplomatic decorum, with heated POI’s, abrupt apologies and

contradictory statements punctuating the session.

At the heart of the uproar was disagreement about how the missile reached Pakistan: The missiles were made in Israel and according to Israel they didn’t know where it went, this was later debunked by the delegate of the USA as he mentions that Israel tracks every missile it sells and has legal safeguards on heavy ammunitions that were made after 2007, according to the USA these missiles were directed by some of Iran’s corrupt officials to the Taliban who had later attacked Pakistan, in response to this Iran rejects these allegations by saying “Since when has the UNSC believed in the words of terrorists”, to which the delegate of USA raised a POI stating and specifying that the supreme leaders of Iran had helped in the supply of arms from Israel to Iran. To this, the delegate of Afghanistan claimed, “ These attackers have claimed they are from the Taliban, but it’s not confirmed; they can also be from the Pakistan Taliban”.

In this heated debate the delegate of Japan said that the reason that so many lives

were lost can be traced to Israels irresponsible behaviour and showed no responsibility, later the delegate of Japan made an absolutely outrageously negative statement in which they religiously discriminated Muslims by calling all Muslims as the sole problem, to which a delegate quoted” Is your country going to be like the next Hitler”, a delegate later questioned Japan saying Japan has 400k plus Muslims and that they also called a Muslim country, what does Japan plan to do with Muslim people in their country. To which Japan replied that they will not back up the minority.

Despite all of this, Pakistan invited Iran to track down the perpetrators to find the sole culprits for the wrongdoing that had occurred on Pakistani soil.

The Delegate of Iran’s inability to recall the name of their own Supreme Leader, followed by the absurd reference to Kimi Antonelli, was not only deeply unprofessional but also exposed the lack of preparedness and discipline in their conduct on the floor.
