MUN or Theatre Club?

The committee session of GABI was unusually quiet, with very few delegates actively participating in discussions. At certain moments, it almost felt as though everyone had collectively decided to observe in silence rather than debate.

However, Delegate Janu Churchill made sure the room was not completely silent. The

delegate brought some excitement to the session with memorable remarks such as, “the

bloody French men,”

One of the other delegates had used these exact words, “Holy moly fiddle sticks delegates!!!” At another point, the delegate loudly exclaimed, “HELLO! Do you see how this person is

acting!”

These statements certainly succeeded in waking up the committee, even if they did not

necessarily move the debate forward. While many delegates remained silent, Janu Churchill practically carried the committee’s energy alone. Whether it was diplomacy or a dramatic performance is still up for debate.
