Circus Comm?

The FHB committee session was expected to be filled with serious debate and strategic

discussions. Instead, it quickly turned into something that looked more like a comedy show.

General Hemulth Welding was certainly determined to make his presence known. The delegate spent a large amount of time talking and even insulted another delegate by calling someone who replied through notes inappropriately. Unsurprisingly, this did not end well and resulted in the delegate being kicked out the committee. As if the situation was not chaotic enough already, phonk music was also being played, adding an unexpected soundtrack to the session.

At the same time, Wilhelm Keitel seemed to be experiencing several emotions at once. The delegate was jumping around, complaining, and dramatically saying, “We’re cooked, we’re all going to die.” The committee was also left in laughter when the delegate asked who the Führer was despite being part of the Führer’s committee. The statement, “I WILL

SACRIFICE YOU!” certainly added to the already peaceful atmosphere.

Meanwhile, Ernst Kaltenbrunner appeared to be one step ahead by bringing a position paper into a non-position paper committee. Perhaps the delegate was just too prepared. Martin Bormann also decided to contribute by making fun of General Hemulth Welding instead of focusing on debate.

Throughout the session, delegates repeatedly left their seats, cross-talk could be heard from many delegates, and maintaining order seemed nearly impossible. Anyone entering the committee midway would probably have thought they had walked into a school drama performance rather than an MUN session.
