The Futuristic Arab League was supposed to be a platform for forward-thinking diplomacy. However, the Delegate of Qatar took the “futuristic” theme COMPLETELY literally, choosing to outsource their entire committee presence to Artificial Intelligence, until the whole room caught them red-handed.

Instead of drafting original speeches, Qatar turned to AI tools like ChatGPT to generate text right from the committee floor. It was a flawless plan until the secret got out, exposing a total lack of originality.

Relying on a machine to do the heavy lifting of international relations completely ruined the dynamic of the floor, proving that authentic diplomatic debate takes a backseat when the Delegate of Qatar can’t even bother to write their own simple speeches. Copying and pasting your stance through a crisis isn’t diplomacy, it’s a glorified middle school computer science project. If the delegate wanted the computer to win an award, they should’ve sent a laptop to sit in their chair instead.

Thus, if the committee hopes to achieve actual, meaningful resolutions, its delegates must bring real human effort back to the table. Qatar’s exposed reliance on AI proves that while an algorithm can easily generate text to fill a page, it cannot replace genuine, human-to-human negotiation.
